The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is a not-for-profit professional theatre founded in 1935. Our season runs from February through early November, and we have three theatres: our two indoor stages, the Angus Bowmer Theatre and the Thomas Theatre, and our flagship outdoor Elizabethan Stage, which opens in early June and runs through mid-October. We offer 11 different plays that include four by Shakespeare and seven by other classic writers, as well as modern and contemporary work and world premieres.
Crater Lake has inspired people for thousands of years. No place else on earth combines a deep, pure lake, so blue in color; sheer surrounding cliffs, almost two thousand feet high; two picturesque islands; and a violent volcanic past. It is a place of immeasurable beauty, and an outstanding outdoor laboratory and classroom.
Here you'll connect with faculty, fellow students, and the Rogue Valley community. Our small classes and creative approaches prepare you for success. Rich cultural resources and glorious surroundings provide inspiration beyond the classroom.
